Ate lunch at a 1950s coastal Florida-inspired seafood place (not my choice). It’s in an upscale mall with a “front porch” facing the inside of the mall. I hate places that seem artificial and this did. Sitting there, the Billy Joel song “In the middle of night… I go walking in my sleep…” popped into my head for no reason other than the fact it just fit...

Technology GUILT
So today my wireless card is working. Apparently it read my tumblr post yesterday and felt guilty. Thank you, wireless card. Don’t do that shit again.

Technology HATE
When shit goes wrong with my computer, I have two strategies: 1) restart it, and if that doesn’t work, 2) just wait a day and hope it fixes itself. Surprisingly, either 1 or 2 usually work. If they don’t I get pissed. I used to take time googling, reading message boards, and trying to learn technology but I don’t care anymore. I just want it to work. I’ve had these probs...

totally wired
Tomorrow morning I have to get up at 630 for a job orientation. After being unemployed for a month or three and getting in the habit of waking up at 9, then 10, then 11, this is way early for me. I’m looking forward to the ass-crack-of-dawn coffee drinking ritual which I will need badly. I usually drink decaf or tea bc caffeine (esp coffee) normally makes me too bugged out and fidgety. I...

Drugstore Deejay is an instant follow for me. “piping in the soft rock and adult contemporary hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s to your tumblr since 2009. our song litmus test: would one hear it while browsing the aisles of a Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid, Duane Reade or Sav-On?” The first song i thought of was Easy Lover by Phil Collins. I went to the second page and it was already there!...

you may be onto something… they say, you have to heart yourself before can truly heart another. harhar. you are on my radar as well, btw. emysena: HA amen, shucks (btw, you are on my radar as a tumblr crush .. i didn’t post about it bc it’s far more entertaining that i *myself* made it as a tumblr crush - on my own dashboard. go figure.

Tumblr crushes are inaccurate
a) some are more prolific in their posting, therefore increase their chances of me hearting them more, b) sometimes hearting is more for the content of the post (photo, song, video) and not so much for the postee (eg hearting a pic of bob dylan with no text doesn’t have the same value as hearting a post where someone shares a real story/thought/idea/funny they created). This is something i...

I just had Nutella for the first time. Pretty much what i expected but a little sweeter. I like how it’s basically a grown-up version of frosting.
